Piano

Ah, the sketch day is here! I took a break from Sunday Sketches last week, so I've been eagerly waiting for it this Sunday.
So my previous(and second ever) oil on paper was a dedication to Mr Picasso, this one, my 3rd Oil on Paper is dedicated to all the classical music artists, and to the lovely instrument, the Piano. Well a little bit of information about the Piano : Piano, short for Pianoforte', the terms "piano" and "forte" meaning "quiet" and "loud" respectively, when devised in 1707 as the very early and crude version, was called "harpsichord with soft and loud".

And now over to the other wonderful artists' blogs.

  1. lovely painting. I do like the term 'pianoforte' better than just 'piano'. though it's probably because I read too much Jane Austen.

    have a sweet day.

  4. I like the softness of the strokes you used and that there isn't too much detail to distract us with. You can't tell if the pianist is inside a room or looking at the sunset.

Stone in the Sea

Checking out Sunday Sketches after a while, pretty excited!

Sketch Pen Stuff

My sister got new sketch pens, and while she was sitting watching FRIENDS till late at night, though very sleepy, I decided to draw, and came up with this (with a few others, that I haven't shared here): The background here is MS Paint. And then a few nights later, when I was just irritated because nothing seemed to be working at all, I made this (by the number of mistakes in it, you can tell i was irritable that day): And last to last night, I just wanted to escape from the scenery on the right to the scenery on the left: A very good morning and a happy Sunday to you! The weather is pleasant, as the rainy season(monsoon) is about to start, so the best thing to do is to view some lovely artwork at The Blue Chair Diary's Sunday Sketches , while listening to some awesome music. :) P.S. no pencils used at all (such a relief not to use the eraser) :)

Torn

Because men have feelings too (though most of them are related to female bodies, but i like to believe they think about things other than that too). . . My Sunday is incomplete without Sunday Sketches .
